I am busy rebuilding my third
career. My first included 21 years with
AT&T/Southwestern Bell. The majority
of those years were as sales manager with some years spent in sales training
and product research. I moved to Bolivar
Peninsula in 1983 when I retired from AT&T and bought a business which I
owned and operated for 14 years.
I became a licensed Real
Estate Agent in 1995 and a Broker in 97. I served on the Board of GAR for 2
years. I am currently serving as a
member of the GARMLS Board. Continuing
real estate education has earned me designations such as e-pro (Knowledge of
use of technology tools), GRI (Graduate Real Estate Institute) and SSFR (Short
Sales and Foreclosure).
I was President of the
Bolivar Peninsula Chamber of Commerce for 5 years, served on its’ board for 17
years and has been a member over 24 years. I am a member of the Galveston Chamber of
Commerce. I was President of the
Galveston County Park Board for 1 year and a member for 2 years. I served on
the Administrative Council for BayVue Methodist Church for 2 years. I served 7 years on the Board for the Bolivar Peninsula Special Utility District. I am a graduate and member of
Leadership Southeast Texas. After
Hurricane Ike, I became a member of the Bolivar Blueprint Committee which was
organized to seek public consensus on future direction of Bolivar’s Rebuilding
efforts as a community.
I am currently Broker and
President of Beach or Bay Real Estate, Inc. I enjoy reading, listening to music, going to
movies and plays, watching television, fishing and just being with my
friends. I have two rescue dogs, Bosco, a
lhasa and Brandy who is a maltipoo. My favorite charities are Compassion
International, Best Friends and Habitat For Humanity.
